Beachy Head: Reimagined

We have reimagined the visitor experience here at the former Beachy Head Story, mixing technology, hand crafted models and hands on interactive exhibits with the great outdoors.

Start your visit in the visitor and tourist information centre with our brand new permanent exhibition, Lighthouses, Landscapes & Legends, where you'll learn about the history of the cliffs, the lighthouses and more, before heading out on the South Downs with our digital trails app to forge your own adventures.

Interactive Exhibits

There's so much to get hands on with in our interactive gallery, from discovering how a lighthouse flashes and identifying their unique characteristics, to learning how GPS Sat Nav works.

Whizz around Beachy Head at our digital map table or send messages in Morse Code or with Semaphore Flags to your friends or family across the room.

Your admission includes access to the Beachy Head Trails app and a series of guided trails, each with clues to find and questions to answer.

The trails include views of the pristine white cliffs of Beachy Head and across the English Channel, the famous red and white striped Beachy Head Lighthouse, and historic Belle Tout Lighthouse.

You can download the app before you arrive, but be sure to grab today's Trail Code before you leave the visitor centre exhibition.
